    This was my first boxing class and Gian was such a friendly, patient, and non-judgmental instructor! He made me feel comfortable despite having no idea what I was doing m. The class was BRUTAL but fun! Highly recommend taking with Gian if you are a beginner and let him know it’s your first time. The gym provides loaner gloves for free but hand wraps are required. Luckily I had my own from a cardio kickboxing class a few years ago. They have available to purchase there if you don’t have!

As a complete beginner, I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction—he was supportive, knowledgeable, and kept me motivated the whole time. His calm and encouraging approach made me feel confident and excited to keep going. Definitely a bit overwhelmed (and should have had the coffee before a 6 am class) but Lee and others were very welcoming and patient. Shoshana is attentive to detail and gave great pointers on the best ways to keep form. Some of the pacing was fast towards the end, but it was still good enough to understand the moves. The environment is really enjoyable with the sunset and the outdoor breeze is a welcome change from hot yoga classes (I’m not very good w heat).
