Tough class. I’m not sure what the usual programming is like but we did 2 rounds of 6 Hyrox stations, basically full stations you would experience at the race. 60 min time cap. So essentially 3/4 of a full Hyrox race. Just be aware this programming is not for beginners. I’ve done 2 full solo races and thought the class was hard. Didn’t actually finish the full 2 rounds. I don’t think anyone in the class did. Luis was a fantastic instructor who gave great tips to everyone. I would recommend for experienced Hyrox racers or very fit people. Gym, equipment, instructor, and vibes were top notch.

    Strength & Conditioning

She is the best instructor I've taken with at Kala. I have had yoga with a few others as well and they were wonderful! Allysa is like a calming drill sergeant. I believe it's because she is really present with her students and can sense when they need that extra, "you're stronger than you think" or "it's okay to choose lower weights if you need that right now". She remembers everyone's name. She notices the small things like if you are trying to knit your lower rib cage together while not even being cued. I mean teachers talk about this a lot in cues but do they really see when you are doing it on your own? It's subtle. I think her years as a professional dancer have helped shape the teacher she is now. The class she designed has an amazing playlist and the short circuits are perfectly tailored so you don't get burnt out by too long of reps in one area. This class is part of why I joined class pass and I hope it stays.

Really relaxing and effective stretch, a lot of poses I’ve never tried before. The instructor was very calming and did hands on corrections which was appreciated. Would recommend!
