It can be a little intimidating the bike and shoes for the first time but they show you how to do everything which is great. Also having a shower after is a must and bathrooms and showers are beautiful and have great products. Overall great experience and would definitely highly recommend.

They provide free sweat towels but mats are a few bucks to rent, so bring your own. They even tell you which side of the room is hotter. It’s right off the street but you don’t hear the noise.

I love bunda as a whole for its actual weight training and results. One thing to note is sometimes they play bangers 🎶 but it’s hard to listen because the instructor constantly needs to queue people on the floor and stairs. Doesn’t deter me from going but sometimes it’s hard to get pumped up when you can’t hear the music well.

My one suggestion is, after taking a few classes at both Bunda locations (here and Miami)… since you do the floor work for reps, sometimes the timing for the moves feels rushed. Each time you hit the floor the moves get progressive overload (yay), but when you’re told to add reps, it gets hard to finish the movements with quality in enough time, and everyone starts moving faster than is probably ideal for form. Probably better to add weight for fewer reps. Regardless, I love this concept — it’s much nicer to get your heart rate up without doing a bunch of stupid HIIT moves slamming your joints around.

She then proceeded to loudly throw the towels onto everyone’s mats and kicked over a few water bottles in the process. The class was hard, sweaty and focused on form. Liz was awesome and had great energy. I think the format takes a little time to get used to but try it and just follow the instructor or the other students and you will be fine! I hope the open another location on the west side of LA.

I love that she always fixes the smallest things in my form. I really get better at lagree with each class of hers and those learnings carry over to other classes I take. If you’ve been doing lagree for at least 3+ months and haven’t taken her class yet, just do it.

Which is fine I guess there’s consistency but I’d love to see their personality and see their own take on lagree. At other studios I follow specific instructors for their personality and style and I find the ones at mdr don’t let their style shine through

Karen took the time to greet new students, check in on injuries, and explain the class format. She has such great energy and I felt at home immediately. The class was fast-paced but accessible. Cues were conveyed crisply and form modifications were noted/offered throughout, but not in a way that would make newcomers feel self-conscious. You can tell there are a lot of regulars, which is always a great sign to me. Highly recommend.
