Christina is very encouraging and offered some great hands-on adjustments (with the upfront option to decline them). A perfect Saturday morning vibe.

Her voice is so calming and relaxing that it made for a flawless transition into each hold. It takes practice and dedication to deliver that type of trance-like meditation. Her Yin is so soothing and healing; one really gets the sense that she cares about the guidance she’s delivering. Also, her adjustments and cues are impeccable; it’s as if she’s practiced from every angle and knows her contraindications very well. Simply the best!!!

Voir tous les avisThe class itself was very good.....but there was complete chaos when I first arrived. I signed up for the class thru ClassPass and they couldn't "find" my reservation. Sort of had the feeling that they were not going to let me take the class at all....and I had driven 35 minutes to get there! Finally the front desk lady said she would "comp" me....but in the end, she didn't. Not friendly at all. Today was my first visit to The Foundry.

She made sure that all the workouts we did also had some modifications - that’s a huge plus. Also, the studio was super warm and friendly. Will definitely be back!

Voir tous les avisThis is a beautiful studio, and I can’t wait to come back, but I didn’t love that there was no music (at least in this 26&2 format). And it wasn’t actual flows. It was just like going through 26 different poses, each two times through. Probably great for beginners, though, or someone who wants to spend more time focusing on their poses and postures. I’d rather a class with music and yoga flows + sequences.

Remembering the long sequences is hard…at first. It does get easier. As far as teaching form, not this particular class. The instructors are, however, thoughtful and willing to take time after class.

I loved how encouraging and kind she was, I really appreciated that she made her way around the room but still did everything with us so there was instruction the entire time.

Voir tous les avisMimi’s class is a work of art. She has mastered the ability to guide a yin practice with the right music, ambiance, props, and percussion. In my opinion, what really sets her class apart from the others, is her readings. Each verse thoughtfully tailored to fit the pose and reminds you that you are “ perfectly imperfect.” I look forward to her Thursday nights Yin class.

Voir tous les avisUnfortunately, I showed up for the 8a Saturday yoga class and no one was there to teach and the door was locked. The other people that showed up had attempted to reach someone from the business just before 8a and just after but there was no response. About 8:10 we called again and finally the owner answered stating that someone else was supposed to be teaching but that she happened to be on her way there and would arrive in 10 minutes. We waited until 8:30 and there was still no one that showed up so we all decided to leave. I love to support my people and minority businesses but this was a little out of hand in the business professionalism department.
