The class was challenging and fun at the same time. I couldn’t get into most of the binding type floor poses, but I wasn’t alone. The sound bowls at the end of class were amazing—-I felt for a moment I was moving through the universe!

    Hot Power Free Flow

I liked how the studio created an immersive experience with special lighting and the music. Most of the class was guided with an excellent instructor. It was challenging enough for experienced people, but still welcoming for beginners. During the unguided free flow part you could go at your pace, meaning as fast or as slow as you needed. My favorite part was the wet cold towel you get at the end. Highly recommend!

    Inferno Hot Pilates

For my first time I didn’t know what to expect. You’ll first go to the front desk fill out a form. The class will be a slight challenge at first . I do recommend you sit with your mat either in the front or middle section. I made the error of the back of the room and I had trouble seeing what to do. Expect to shake, this is called inferno for a reason but I do recommend it. This will work out your inner thighs and well your whole body really. Take a towel as you definitely will get sweaty. They have ice and water in the lobby, perfect amenity. Will come again.

    RECHARGE | 75 Minutes

Dillion was great and instructions were clear and audible, although I got lost a couple of times being unfamiliar with the moves. The music was incredible and there was a calm and relaxing ambiance to the room lit with candles. Good workout- made me sweat! One thing for sure to note: if you are coming for the first time, give yourself extra time because the place is very difficult to find. I had to call the gal at the front desk who very patiently talked me there step by step over the phone.

    Sculpt-50 Studio

Class was great! Jenn is a great and experienced instructor. She provided a full body workout and kept us laughing through the challenging exercises. This was my first time going to the JCC. It’s a bit confusing getting in the building. You need to ring the doorbell at the front, tell them you’re there with ClassPass, show your ID upon entry and sign in on a visitor sheet. It would be helpful if this information was listed here on ClassPass so others are in the loop and knew to bring their ID. That process takes a few minutes so give yourself some extra time upon arrival.

    CYCLE + CORE

Absolutely loved this class! Sarah was a great instructor, she had great energy and her workout was so challenging. I definitely can’t feel my legs the day after.😅 She pushed me to cycle harder than I have in any other class. What made this cycle experience unique was that it was not a regular spin class. It was an actual cycling workout, which was cool, and had some great floor work for arms and abs. This was the first cycle studio I’ve gone to where you could watch your RPMs on the monitor and could see just how hard you were cycling. Also, you don’t reserve a bike, so get there early to ride with friends. Additionally, I love that the music wasn’t too loud. Usually my Apple Watch tells me that my hearing is going to be damaged and I usually wear earplugs, but had forgotten them and my old lady sensibilities were worried about hearing damage, but the music was a great volume which my ears really appreciated. Will definitely be back!

    Power Flow

The place in general is huge, recommend getting there a little earlier to find parking (I found it on the street)& figure it out if you haven’t been before . You go through the main entrance all the way back until you see the rock climbing area- check in. The room is decently sized so you shouldn’t feel too close to your neighbor. Didn’t feel the room was like burning hot, you’ll be ok- more like warm + some of your own body heat. I wouldn’t say it’s for beginners. Could be depending on the instructors or class maybe? You’ll have to be somewhat be experienced prior to know the call outs from the instructor as they won’t always be performing them with you. Not a bad thing but that’s just a down fall for someone whom may be new. Overall, I definitely will attend again!

Phenomenal facilitation by Mel! She does a great job of creating a soothing setting for the practice and thoughtfully provides all of the props you might need for a comfortable experience. She explains everything she will cue during the practice ahead of time so you know what to expect and even leads the group into a pre-breathwork energetic warmup and and post-breathwork sharing circle for those that feel comfortable processing in that way. She’s so warm and thoughtful, cannot recommend this enough!

I get that CPY doesn’t do adjustments, which makes sense with so many people, but there are soo many people in these classes doing poses completely incorrectly , with a lot of confidence. (Not talking modifications, like completely dumping into joints). Verbal cues (even really helpful ones!) are only helpful to those listening unfortunately. Katie is great. Love her class.

Good vibes in the room. The adjuster was great and helped me to get deeper into my forward bends, which has always been a challenge for me. I didn’t expect to sweat since this was a level one ( unheated) class. I should have brought a towel, because I was really sweating near the end. Perfect amount of challenge.
