Kristen always leads us students into a beautiful flow, where strength meets grace and the body and breathe move harmoniously as one. I love her style of teaching~ it feels so meditative, authentic, and poetic with her words. This class was an extra special treat as she invited guest DJ musician DTO to play music and instruments (rainstick, etc) while we flowed, and the room was full with 45+ students all flowing together! Thank you Kristen and DTO for the incredible class, it was truly so special.

Rachel was a ball of energy and sunshine! This was one of the sweatiest classes I’ve attended at NXPT (and that’s saying a lot considering their circuit classes and cycling are hard core!). Journey Into Power

Really really loved the instructor Michelle. With this studio they don’t have mirrors which is interesting and different. It is a heated class which adds a level of intensity. The studio itself is really cute but the location not so much. It’s downtown so lots of homeless folks to deal with on the way there. They do validate parking and there’s a parking garage right by the studio so that’s nice. Would recommend to try out one time!

Great class! It seems like the other girls in the class were all actual dancers meanwhile I’m just a 32 year old gal who has never done professional dance of any kind but I loved it! We learned a short choreography and then had to add our own improvised bit at the end. It’s a relatively quick pace for learning the dance moves but they’re simple, so if you have a natural sense for rhythm you can pick it up quick and personally I prefer a fun and challenging class rather than being in a class that’s too slow and easy.

I would say this is gentler practice than my normal power or vinyasa flow so I had to do my own up-leveling but this class would be well suited to those newer to yoga or wanting a less vigorous practice. Also, as I was from out of area, I had to borrow a mat, and they don't have real yoga mats; the ones they have are those foamy ones that slip and slide everywhere.

I am an advocate of mask-wearing but it's hard to exercise in an enclosed space with a mask on. The instructor was excellent, knows her stuff, checked in frequently and moved forward when the class was ready. The focus on choreography was not my style. I prefer to focus on one move at a time with guidance as to how to get it to look good, and really master it first, rather than getting caught up in memorizing the sequence and doing a lot of moves poorly. People who are better at learning choreography can probably work on quantity and quality at the same time. The instructor offered to review any moves we wanted but I think I just need to work on each on my own, looking in the mirror rather than looking to others to figure out where we are in the sequence. #classpassinsider #cpinsider
