see all reviewsThe Instructor was very informative about the history of pilates and the different types of pilates that is available at the studio in the beginning of class. This was my first class at stride, and it is a very clean studio! Beware if you book on a Friday like I did- there is no front desk girl to check you in. This class goes very slow and really talks you through the movements and the modifications you can do. For me, this class was pretty easy- you won’t be working up a sweat too much (besides the room already being hot!) I’ve done barre and dance before, so I’d definitely take a regular class after the 101, but for someone who is brand new, this is definitely for you!

But I could keep up a little more than other classes I’ve been to, and I like that you don’t have to use the spd clips if you don’t want to. You can use regular sneakers in the stirrup pedals. I finished class four hours ago and my legs are absolutely killing me still! The overall studio is very nice. Bathrooms and showers are large, clean, and very nice. The location itself is a fun space both inside and outside. The crowd is much younger than most gyms I’ve attended from ClassPass. As a 36 year-old, I did feel, quite old compared to the rest of the class (didn’t stop me from a strong class). Young but very open and cool space I imagine it would be easy to make friends at. Show up at least 20 minutes for your first class here, because their waiver is an absolute nightmare that took me 15 minutes to complete and ultimately didn’t even ask me for health concerns. I understand why they protect themselves with the waiver, but most exercise studios like to know if there’s something they should be aware of in class. Maybe you can fill out the form just online before you go. Highly recommend this teacher.
