Restorative Yoga (RY) / Soundbath (SD)
Voir tous les avisThis is such an amazing way to decompress. A perfect place to meditate and be in your body. If you haven’t experienced a soundbath at MBH yet, it should be a top priority. Larissa is amazing. I love her voice and guidance.

Voir tous les avisJessica is the best. She’s a natural and her energy is so motivating. Her workouts are so fun, you hardly the time go by. I love the intentions she sets at the beginning. And her playlists always relate to whatever’s currently going on (eg. gloomy weather, superbowl). Best of all, my body feels super tight right after the workout and I instantly felt relief from the back pain from my slipped disc!

Voir tous les avisIt’s been a few years since I took a barre class and I was worried about my goofy and awkward self. I felt very welcome and safe in this studio. Everyone was kind and focused. The instructor encouraged breaks and offered modifications. I’ll definitely be back!

Voir tous les avisWhy do so many spin studios default to songs with high-high RPMs + low resistance? Maybe everybody likes that except me? Lol. If you've ever been to a metrics-driven class like Cyclebar or Flywheel (RIP), you'll see how lower RPMs and adding resistance is a better workout - higher power is generated (more calories burned, etc). Plus it's way better for the joints! I love an occasional sprint, but the majority of the songs in this class felt around 100-120RPMs which is mega fast and means most people will have little resistance on the bike, and are basically flailing their legs around. Let's spend more time around 70-90 please, for a better more sustainable workout!! Ok rant over - this is a good studio if you like that kind of class! :)

Voir tous les avisThe class I went to was EVERYTHING I needed. It was a long Monday for me and this class was the perfect combination of workout, stretching and meditation. I left feeling so ready to tackle the rest of the week. Highly recommend. The location is great too, plenty of great restaurants and bars around for before or after class with friends.

Voir tous les avisReally fun! We did a Signature class, which is like 75% rowing and 25% floor exercises. I wasn’t aware of what I had signed up for, and the floor exercise came just as I sorted wondering if we’d be doing an hour of nonstop rowing (which I wasn’t gonna enjoy). Katka is a good instructor too. Great facility!

Voir tous les avisI love HIIT Lab - great instructors, good vibes, great community feel. Its always super clean! Locally + women owned, hurrah! It's basically a locally owned Barry's with more of a community feel. The con is that sometimes the programming feels random and not very thoughtful. In this class, the first floor set was three different ab exercises and then burpees? Felt like somebody threw darts to pick exercises. I'll keep coming back, but I often end up modifying or subbing in different movements for myself. Better programming would really make this place amazing :D
