Voir tous les avisFinally tried the legendary Barry’s on my visit to London. I didn’t realise it would be so brutal and as someone who works out regularly, I died (in a good way). This location was lovely and spacious. The changing room was big and clean with great amenities. The service was also good from reception to the trainer. As a first timer I also got a complementary protein shake which was a nice touch.

The space is big so doesn’t seem like a lot of people per se, but I couldn’t get a cable machine out of the 8 that they have, and I was there off peak! Every machine I wanted was always occupied and you’d have to wait around at least 5 mins. Saw others doing the same.

The gym was a little smaller than I anticipated with some very dated although well maintained cardio machines. When I completed my workout there was nowhere to stretch/do some kettle bell swings and it was a morning visit so can only imagine what the evening is like, overall I would go again if only for convenience and the pleasant experience.

Not a given at every gym in London so it’s refreshing to find somewhere like this. Prepare to work hard in an encouraging atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

It also has a sauna and a decent swimming pool and all the typical machines you would expect. It also has a really cool interactive boxing circuit station. Would absolutely recommend it.

The therapist was very considerate, beforehand they ask you to fill in a form regarding any injuries or allergies as well as regarding consent & respect. The massage was absolutely perfect: even though it was Swedish and relaxing, she knew exactly where I had knots in my shoulders and back and worked on those. Overall would highly recommend and if I wouldn’t leave tomorrow, I’d be back here in a heartbeat.

Couple of things to note if you haven’t done this before - your hair will get soggy and full of Epsom salts so either bring a shower cap / swimming cap or the products you need to wash condition and style your hair. You will also be provided foam earplugs - these do not work on me and I hadn’t realised earplugs were involved so would have brought silicone ones from home. Tank was super clean, space very good, will definitely come back again.
