Adult - Ballet - Foundations
Voir tous les avisThoughts wrt recent reviews - unless you’re talking about a Wednesday class, these classes are not mislabeled. Tuesday classes ARE classes that require 0 experience, but y’all want 0 experience Day 1 class experiences when the term started 8 to 12 weeks ago. All the studios in the city start their fall terms in Aug/Sept and really slow it down during the first few weeks. After that, all the good teachers still go over basic positions, what a plie/tendu/degage is, and how to access turnout etc every few weeks, but it wouldn’t be fair to people who showed up on day 1, with or without experience, to go over the same exact things every single class because you wanted to start late. If you want a Day 1 experience, see you Day 1 in Jan, May, or Aug - but you are likely capable of more than you think. Most people who show up with 0 experience have a good time and learn a lot if they are *actually* chill about figuring stuff out as they go along. Half the “experienced” regulars in the class who make it a positive environment showed up in the middle of the term with no experience and just kept trucking. ALSO: Corrections in front of the class are a compliment (good teachers only give corrections to people who can handle them or to prevent injury) and a gift for everyone to apply, including more experienced dancers - most have been doing ballet for less than a year or two, which is how long most people need to stay in absolute beginner classes before moving up. You’ll see them practicing the same thing! I truly understand how anxiety inducing those are (I’d break out into cold sweats at first), but this class cured my anxiety and taught me how to focus on myself. Vannessa does have a very irreverent and humorous teaching style that may not be for everyone, using funny stories to make corrections memorable. Idk i love it though. Tl;dr adjust your attitude (haha, pun), just enjoy a fun class with good technical corrections, foundational barres, and challenging across the floors

Voir tous les avisSo fun! I did Groov3 in another state and was so excited to see it offered here. For all the millennials out there who appreciate throwback hip hop you’ll love these playlists. While it’s not always the best workout/ not very high intensity it’s so fun and Lindsey had great energy. Please give it a try as the more folks the better! I hope it grows!
Whether you move everyday or have not moved your in years, there is no judgement…Open Level shuffle dance choreography
Voir tous les avisI love this class! Elena is so patient and engaging as an instructor. Her choreo is so fun, mixing different styles while being approachable enough for beginners but still challenging for more advanced dancers.
If you’re looking for a studio with classes that are as challenging as they are fun…Moving Meditation
Voir tous les avisThis is my second class with Ami - why? Because the first was so good. This is a stretching and gentle movement class - a great centering or midweek refresh. Easy entry into the Ray and free lockers are in the second floor with easy access to the workout studios.

Voir tous les avisGreat environment for beginners! You will be challenged but have a lot of fun. Their Beginners Academy has been the most welcoming space for beginner dancers looking to improve in their retention and execution of choreography. They have heels to rent if you don't have any!
