There are various stylistic approaches to beginning ballet covered here, and both teachers demonstrate a clear understanding of how to break down movement so that everyone can find their footing. The turns sequence in particular is lovely — it’s one I can take home and practice on my own. Highly recommend for anyone looking to build confidence.

Voir tous les avisSo happy to see City in Motion available here! I started at their Off Main and Westport studio back in 2012–2013 (they still have that neon sign). They put so much work into helping me with my turnout and posture, and started working on my turns too. This instructor is fantastic for beginners. She breaks everything down—footwork, positions, arm placement—into clear, manageable pieces so you actually understand the mechanics. The music she picks for class is beautifully chosen too. Definitely will be back!
