Voir tous les avisI liked the concept a lot, and the entrance atmosphere/aesthetic was nice, but overall I was very disappointed by my experience in this studio. I enjoyed the overall atmosphere/aesthetic and the music was fun, but the music was far too loud and the dancing hard to keep up with. The instructor did not take a single pause the whole class to check in with her students, so it was hard to tell her that I was struggling. As a result, I had to leave early because the music was hurting my ears and possibly doing damage because I had tinnitus for several hours afterwards. The dance floor had too many people on it making it hard to freely move. The dance moves were also a bit complex for a beginner and the instructor didn’t do enough to give cues. It felt like she was enjoying the class for herself instead of guiding and holding the space. If I’m being 100% honest the vibe of the class did not feel welcoming to me which was surprising because the review’s raved and the business description seemed aligned with my values around body positivity and community. I felt more of a showy, cliquey, competitive vibe rather than the collective nourishing, embodied energy I usually look for in dance classes. No one checked on me or asked why I was leaving. There was no follow up with me after class. I really didn’t feel that the studio cared if I was there it not. It wasn’t for me, but I hope my feedback is helpful.

Voir tous les avisWas a great class - I was never a dancer and super new to this sort of thing. It got kind of discouraging, because I felt like I just couldn’t get it right while others in the class could. BUT the instructor did a great job and I think I would have been a bit more comfortable if the class had more than 3 other people, but that’s not anyone’s fault.
