She always gives very specific instructions and tips about ways to move individual muscles and body parts to better support your body and express the pose, in a way that pushes me but never shames me about my own body’s limitations. It’s a difficult balance, but she somehow manages to make me feel calm, strong and capable, even when I struggle. I always feel 10 times better when I leave her class and eager to come back.

Voir tous les avisRoom is not big but has a good variety of equipments (stair climbers, ski machines, treadmills, air bikes, squat stands, etc.). Love the structure of the class (7-min rounds of different workouts) it makes you busy and not bored. I’m a beginner for fitness classes and this is challenging but not impossible as you can use lighter weights. Tracy checked in with me a few times during the class knowing I’m new, teaching me how to use equipments, the right postures and the right muscles to use.

For the other Barry’s classes I’ve taken, there are often people looking around confused because the demos are very limited so people aren’t sure to do. Stefon was great about showing the moves to avoid that.

He is super positive and supportive and uses affirmation rather than continually saying the same things over and over to command compliance. You don’t have to be an expert, so beginner friendly with screens above to follow and the coach also demos as well. I’ll be back to coach Ri’s class as she was so helpful. Can’t wait to return for class! A tip if you don’t know the easy boxing punches (literally only 6 of them). Just punch the bag it’s the best workout!

I’d recommend adding a couple of modification ideas for exercises. For example, by the end of class, I think I did over 100 box jumps - that’s a lot for not having done box jumps in years and I was definitely feeling it in my legs/knees after lol.

What I especially liked about this class is there were a few more Pilates type workouts added. Just make sure you get there on time, as they close and lock the door ~7 mins after class start time

Dani and Monica did a great job of actually going around and correcting people’s form and giving cues which I don’t always see at F45 gyms, so I highly recommend taking a class with either of them! Parking in downtown Kirkland can be tricky, but there’s free parking at the library and it’s only a few mins to walk over from there! Even tho it’s not the closest F45 to me, I think I would come back for the great coaching!
